Systems of Equations |
---|
Two or more equations put together are called Systems of Equations. |
Below, we have a system of equations:
4x + 2y = 10
3x – 2y = 4
Sometimes, adding two equations together will allow you to remove a variable, and then solve for the remaining variable. This is called Elimination by Addition.

Now that we know "x", we can use this information to solve for "y".

Our solution is (2, 1).
